The Rayhawk Family sanctuary called Handipets rescues disabled feral youths, elders, and hard strays to give them a safe confined outdoor life with accessible indoor areas if they choose. We also provide natural foods and supplements according to their dietary needs. Ferals and Hardened strays rarely enter new homes, they are not cute and cuddly house pets and are often put to sleep in shelters when they are trapped and turned into Animal Control as nuisance pests. Those who are rendered disabled by old injuries in the wild are unable to hunt, shelter, and flee so not only would they not be placed into new homes if they were trapped and turned in, but they can't live in the wild either. Those are the ones we help. Usually all they need is a safe outdoor area and a diet of natural foods they don't have to hunt or scavenge for. We also support trap, neuter and return or relocate efforts for those who can live in the wild without human aid
